Haji Lane, Singapore

Haji Lane, the place where you should visit if you're sick of the malls.
It's basically a little street off the main Bugis area, with many lovely shops that sell everything from clothes to bicycle. You can find lots of quirky items with a reasonable price here.
There is also a few cafes if you just want to sit down, have a cup of coffee, and chat with your friends. :)

I love the minimalist packaging design!

After several hours of walking, we decided to stop by this cafe/bar to rest our feet before we headed off to more sightseeing.

These chairs ↑ may look tall in the photo, but it's a set of short-legged chairs in real life. Cuteee!!

Let's go upstairs!

Such a great place to chill out with a few friends, huh? Great service, excellent ambience. Too bad I didn't try their food so I have no idea how it tastes like. But I ordered their lemonade and it was good! :D

One of the reasons I visited this place was to take outfit shots in front of the wall art lol.

What I Wore: Top from Bangkok | Trench Coat from Japan | GOWIGASA Cream HW Skirt | Amble Footwear Shoes | H&M Brown Sling Bag

Well, I think this post didn't do justice to the place. I should've brought my DSLR or at least snapped more pictures!! The vintage dresses, the artsy interior design of each store, etc etc.
I guess I got too caught up in the moment. /sob

Anyway, if you want to visit Haji Lane, do so after 4pm. I heard from the taxi driver that the crowds come in around 5pm, thus most of the stores open around that time too. We reached there at 2pm and most of the stores were still closed during the hours we visited. When the taxi driver told us, I was like, "Ahhh that's why T___T"

But, if you want to take decent pictures then you should come at 2pm like I did! :D
When it's still bright and you will have less people staring at you, or worse, waiting for you to finish your "photo shoot session" with annoying face because they also want to take pictures of themselves! At your spot! And so you end up looking awkward or uncomfortable in your photos. #storyofmylife

Oh, Deer God.

GOWIGASA Washed Sleeveless Denim Shirt (as Inner), Deer Knit Sweater, Postman Sling Bag (Maroon), and Claire Geek Glasses | H&M Orange Pants | Bruno Premi Brown Boots

Hi! As I'm still in Fall/Autumn fashion mood, I decided to play with these 'warm' colours today (orange, brown and red) because they remind me of fall leaves! And then I paired them with neutral colour from my knitted sweater and a hint of blue to add a little 'coolness' to my outfit. :)

By the way, I've changed my hair colour last week but I haven't had a decent picture taken to show you guys! :( It's kind of red-purple-ish (similar to red wine!) and much darker than my brown hair, but I love it so much, it really exceeded my expectations! :D

Sporty Chic

Holding on to the wire fence, looking awkward.

H&M Pineapple Bralette | GOWIGASA Black Leather Skirt | Romwe Varsity Jacket | H&M Socks | Converse Sneakers | GOWIGASA Dope Snapback

Today I wanted to go for a sporty look that also gives a girly vibe. So, what I did was I paired my varsity jacket with a leather skirt (A-line) and this super cute pineapple bralette from H&M! :) I really love how the vibrant colours of the bralette create a pop of colour to my outfit.

To top it off, I wore a snapback to give an edgy touch, stripe knee-high socks that scream sports, and an extremely comfortable pair of sneakers! :D

By the way, I was very relieved when I found out this tennis court was empty so I could do the shoot without kids staring at me like I'm a circus act.

Oh, if you have time, kindly visit our web store, GOWIGASA as we just uploaded a bunch of new stuff! What's more, we also released our first basic collection that are designed and manufactured by us! At very affordable prices, of course. Basics are very essential to everyone's closet as they are timeless and come in very handy when you want to mix and match your look. So, we hope you can find something that you like! ;)

Never Mind (the Haters)

What I Wore: H&M 'Never Mind' Top | GOWIGASA Cross Print Skirt, Studded Bag, and Lion Pendant Necklace | Swaychic Heels

A few days ago a fellow blogger asked me on Twitter if I've ever been bothered by 'haters'. Well, I guess if you are active in social media, it's likely that at some point you'll get at least one hater— it comes with the package! Not only in social media, you can also get spiteful haters in real life no matter how nice you think you are.

Dita Von Teese said it best:
"You can be the ripest, juiciest peach in the world, and there's still going to be somebody who hates peaches."

Therefore the question is not "How to not be hated," it is "How to deal with haters."

The best advice that has been proven to work for me is the classic "Never mind the haters." It's true, y'know, when you get back at haters, that just fuels them up to keep coming back at you. When you leave them alone, they leave you alone. In dealing with online haters, you can always use that cute 'block' button, it is there for a reason. Man, if I had a penny for every time I block someone. (Jess: "Me too!")

Moreover:
“Great minds discuss ideas; average minds discuss events; small minds discuss people.”

...see? Why should you be upset over what small minded people has to think or say about you?

To sum up, here's few sentences from Johnny Depp which is related to this issue and has inspired me a lot. It is one of the quotes I live by :) Thank you Mr. Sparrow!

"Just keep moving forward and don't give a shit about what anybody thinks. Do what you have to do, for you."

Warm Feel

GOWIGASA Floral Denim Cropped Top | H&M Tan Pants | Topshop Oversized Cardigan | Forever21 Bag | Decimal Shoes Heels

Yes, I wore this floral denim cropped top again, but instead of pairing it with other pastel colors like the last time, today I mixed it with earth-tone colors to give it a warm feel.

Anyway don't you just looove the color of my pants? I got it from H&M for like IDR 160K / USD 16 only!! xD

Moving on to the outerwear...

This oversized cardigan is one of my favorite outerwears, ever. I'm so obsessed with it that I carry it with me almost everywhere I go. It keeps me warm and I just love the fuzzy and soft fabric which I think is perfect for snuggling up! Plus, the color is neutral so it goes with whatever colors you like without looking too much. :)
